What is the Prism Award?
The Prism Award celebrates organizations that have achieved excellence and have enhanced their organizational performance through the use of coaching as a development and leadership effectiveness strategy.
Based on the international award sponsored by ICF, GCA's Prism Award recognizes the coaching success happening today in all types of organizations, from large public companies to nonprofits to small businesses. Past winners include Cox Enterprises, American Cancer Society, Old Mutual, Marriott Atlanta Marquis, BMW and ADP.
Why should I nominate an organization for the award?
When you nominate a company, you not only help that organization articulate and measure the successes coaching has created, but you also reinforce your role as a professional in the Southeast coaching community. Our Prism nomination process generates great stories about how coaching makes a difference--stories that help our entire profession and help you grow your business!
Any organization based in the Southeastern US can be nominated for the Southeast Prism Award, including:
- Non-profit organizations
- Small or mid-sized businesses
- Large corporations
- Public sector organizations
Companies who have gone through the nominations process in the past tell that the nomination process has:
- Helped them articulate and measure the successes coaching has brought to the organization.
- Provided external publicity for their company and program and created new connections with others who can support their efforts in the future.
- Created personal recognition for themselves and their teams.
- Positioned them as a champion for coaching as a leadership and business strategy
The deadline for nominations for 2010 was February 5, but it's not too late to start thinking about organizations to nominate next year!
